Purple Sprouting

Pickings are a bit thin on the ground at the allotment right now.  It's my own fault as I have neglected it badly.  The Greyhound cabbage started off well and has provided the snails and slugs with a constant source of food!  There is not much left and what is, is not very appetising.

I had high hopes for the Brussels Sprouts but they haven't fulfilled their promise.  They just won't grow any bigger than a Malteaser.
But the Purple Sprouting Broccoli has delivered the goods:

beautifully!
