We have just returned from a long weekend in North Cornwall. We have friends who live near Launceston and we try to see them at least once a year. This time we were down for their wedding (more of that later). Rather than stay at their house, as we usually do, we booked a chalet which is very close to where they live, which incidentally, is in the middle of nowhere, just next to the back-of-beyond. We've been popping down to Cornwall for over 10 years now, so we should have been prepared for the inclement weather.
I'm sure that on a sunny day this is a lovely view, but under a thick blanket of rain clouds it does lose some of it's charm.
The Chalet is less 'alpine' and more 'shed'. But it was clean and had everything we needed - except central heating! I don't think that in the middle of June one should need to wear a coat indoors?
